Our Vision

To continue serving for many years as a warm and sustainable family business that respects the nature and culture of Bodrum, where guests feel at home.

Our Mission

To offer our guests a clean, safe and peaceful stay while using energy, water and other natural resources efficiently, reducing our waste, supporting local employment and the local economy, and sharing the cultural values of Bodrum with our guests.

Our Policies

With respect for nature, people and Bodrum

Without compromising on guest satisfaction and comfort, we aim to reduce our use of natural resources, offer our employees a fair workplace and contribute to the local community.

We are aware of our social, environmental, cultural and economic responsibilities in order to leave a liveable world to future generations.

To this end, we:

  • Comply with all applicable legal regulations in all our activities.
  • Maintain and improve practices that reduce energy and water consumption.
  • Reduce waste at the source, separate it and send it for recycling.
  • Prefer products that are less harmful to the environment and bulk or low-packaging purchases.
  • Offer our employees an equal, safe and fair working environment without discrimination.
  • Support the local community, local businesses and nature conservation efforts.
  • Inform our guests and employees about sustainability.

Our sustainability work is carried out by a two-person team led by our manager. The team is responsible for planning and implementing the work, informing employees and following up on results.

  • Soner Söyler – Reception and Technical: Team leader; energy and water management, technical maintenance, purchasing, legal compliance, guest information and follow-up of feedback.
  • Musa Ateşkan – Housekeeping Supervisor: Waste separation, correct use and storage of cleaning chemicals, the towel and linen change practice, and informing the housekeeping staff.

At the start of each season the team briefs employees, follows up on practices throughout the season and, at the end of the season, reviews the work and sets the targets for the next one.

We carry out our activities in line with all relevant legal regulations, in particular environmental, occupational health and safety, and tourism legislation. Required permits, licences and periodic inspections are followed up by our manager.

  • Recyclable waste (paper, plastic, glass, metal) is collected separately and sent for recycling.
  • As our pool bar offers only a limited food menu, no waste cooking oil is produced and food waste is very low.
  • Our apartments with fully equipped kitchens let guests cook only as much as they need, helping to reduce food waste.
  • Refillable shampoo and soap dispensers are used in the apartments and bathrooms instead of single-use products.
  • Cleaning products are purchased in bulk and large packages to reduce packaging waste.
  • Waste batteries and light bulbs are collected separately from household waste and taken to the relevant collection points.
  • To reduce paper use, bookings and correspondence are handled digitally wherever possible.
  • LED lighting is used throughout the property.
  • The apartments have a key card energy saving system; electricity is switched off automatically when guests leave the room and take the card.
  • Motion sensor lighting is used in some common areas.
  • Hot water is provided by solar energy systems.
  • Air conditioners and electrical appliances are regularly serviced and cleaned to prevent energy losses.
  • Towels and sheets are changed every two days, reducing water, energy and detergent used for laundry.
  • Pool water is kept clean with a circulation and filtration system and is renewed without constant draining.
  • The garden is watered only as needed, early in the morning and in the evening, to avoid evaporation losses.
  • Leaks in taps, cisterns and plumbing are monitored during cleaning and technical checks and fixed quickly.
  • Wastewater is discharged into the sewage network.
  • Cleaning and hygiene products are purchased in bulk to reduce packaging waste and transport-related impacts.
  • Chemicals are stored in their original, labelled containers in a separate area out of reach of guests and children.
  • Housekeeping staff are trained on the correct dosage and safe use of chemicals, preventing unnecessary and excessive use.
  • Products that are less harmful to the environment are preferred in purchasing wherever possible.

We take an approach that respects our employees' legal rights and human rights.

  • We employ about 11 people during the season; about 36% of our employees are women and 64% are men.
  • We give priority to local employment when hiring.
  • We do not discriminate on the basis of language, religion, race, gender, age or origin in hiring or employment, and we provide equal opportunities for all.
  • No child labour is employed at our property.
  • All our employees are legally insured; working hours, wages, leave and other rights are arranged in line with labour legislation.
  • As a small family business, we offer an open communication environment where employees can reach our manager directly.

We provide our employees with mandatory legal training and on-the-job training at the start of the season and whenever needed:

  • Occupational health and safety training
  • Fire and emergency training
  • First aid briefing
  • Hygiene and cleaning training
  • Sustainability briefing (saving energy and water, waste separation, correct use of chemicals)

While cleaning the apartments, our housekeeping team checks for lights left on, air conditioners left running and water leaks, and reports them to the person responsible.

We believe that contributing to our region and community is an important part of sustainability in tourism.

  • We made a donation to the TEMA Foundation to support the protection of natural assets.
  • We support the local economy by sourcing our needs from local businesses and suppliers in Bodrum wherever possible.
  • We give priority to local employment when hiring.
  • We aim to increase our participation in social responsibility projects and volunteer activities such as environmental clean-ups in our region.

We want our guests to discover Bodrum not only through its sea and sun, but also through its history, culture and cuisine. At our reception we offer guests personal information and recommendations:

  • Places to visit: Bodrum Castle and the Museum of Underwater Archaeology, the Mausoleum at Halicarnassus, the Ancient Theatre, the Myndos Gate and the villages of the peninsula.
  • Local flavours: Regional dishes such as çökertme kebab, wild herb dishes, seafood and the olive oil dishes of Aegean cuisine, and the best places to try them.
  • Bazaars and markets: The Bodrum bazaar and local markets, where guests can find local products and handicrafts.

In this way we help our guests get to know the culture of the region while also supporting local businesses.

  • Record monthly electricity and water consumption from bills and compare it season by season.
  • Reduce energy and water consumption per guest compared with the previous season.
  • Expand information notes in the apartments for guests on saving energy and water and separating waste.
  • Reduce the use of single-use plastic products at the pool bar as well.
